Harp music adds elegance and a bit of magic to just about any kind of celebration.
For more than 20 years I've played at weddings and other festive occasions. I play a 32-string folk or Celtic harp. Made of walnut, it has a full rich sound that easily fills a large room and carries well outdoors. It's suitable for both formal and informal events and is quite happy outdoors.
My repertoire is largely traditional-Celtic and other tunes from Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England-but also includes early European selections, Jewish music, some classical works, a few popular tunes, and a range of sacred music. From May to October, I am the harpist for Sunday Brunch at the Inn at Shelburne Farms, on the shores of Lake Champlain.
For weddings I offer an hour of consultation to learn about your plans and help you choose the music. I can make suggestions about where to incorporate music before, during and after the ceremony. Whatever you have in mind, I'll work with you to make sure you get just what you want. You can find out more at my website, Vermont Harp.
