Trapp Family Lodge sits high up on Trapp Hill with an incredible mountain setting on 2,600 acres in beautiful Stowe, Vermont. This family run, 96 guest room, resort hosts  wedding ceremonies and receptions for over 200 guests with amazing food in a friendly environment.

Couples receive expert Wedding Planning and Coordination with a style that is comfortable, professional and fun, creating a cohesive team with all the vendors to create the vision each couple has crafted for their own unique wedding.

Trapp Family Lodge offers on-site lodging, rehearsal dinners and welcome events, delicious wedding catering and bar service, farewell breakfast and countless activities for you and your guests. The emphasis is always on making your day the best day ever, stress free and fun!

History

In the early 1940s, the von Trapp family toured the United States as the Trapp Family Singers before eventually settling in Stowe, Vermont, on an enchanted farm with sweeping mountain vistas reminiscent of their beloved Austria. In the summer of 1950, they began welcoming guests to a rustic, 27-room family home/lodge. After a devastating fire in 1980, the original structure was replaced by the Trapp Family Lodge guests visit today.

Favorite Moment During a Wedding: First, seeing it all come together beautifully and seamlessly ! Then, right after the ceremony ends, congratulating couples for the first time. This time is filled with absolute joy and bliss! 

Favorite Vermont Activity: We have many activities right here at the Lodge that we enjoy. Going to the von Trapp Bierhall after a Brewery or doing the “Meet the Cows” tour are two great examples.
