Lake Morey Resort is ideal for a picturesque Vermont wedding or reception. Not only is the Resort beautiful and serene, but it’s easy to get to and we offer a wide range of services and amenities. Lake Morey provides each wedding with a personal wedding coordinator. Before and during the event, your coordinator will handle all the details so you can focus on what’s important—the people you love and the occasion that brought them together. Our four function rooms range in size and can accommodate 60 – 250 guests.

Nestled in the green Vermont hills above the Connecticut River, Lake Morey Resort provides the perfect getaway any time of the year. Guests return year after year for the natural beauty, recreational opportunities and genuine hospitality that has set the Resort apart for over a century. From unforgettable family vacations, a stunning setting for your wedding to a conference center ready to take care of your every need, it’s all at your doorstep at Lake Morey.
Activities:
We offer complimentary bike rentals for all of our guests. Fresh air, crystal clear Lake Morey, and unspoiled Green Mountain beauty will draw you to our full service 18-hole golf course. The Resort does offer discounted greens fees to wedding parties.
We also offer complimentary use of canoes, kayaks and paddle boards to all guests. In addition to the self-powered boating our experienced Captains are ready to take you and your guests out water-skiing, wake-boarding or tubing. The resort also has a pontoon boat if a more leisurely pace is your style.

Love Notes
Our dream day
I could not put enough good things about our wedding at Lake Morey Resort. The views alone would’ve made this a perfect spot, but the team at the resort take the time to work with you on everything you need. They provide a list of past vendors and offer day of coordinating services so you can relax. The chef is also AMAZING and I will dream of all the food we had for years to come. All of our guests were able to stay at the resort with us and loved it. We loved our Avery suite which also had a spectacular view over the water. Being close to so many great trails was also a big plus as well as little shops along the way. Another bonus? Lake Morey was able to host a welcome dinner and farewell breakfasts for our guests which made seeing all of our loved ones relaxed and was also very appreciated for the out of towners (which was all 80 of our guests since this was a destination wedding). Whether you have a ceremony of the water or in their garden space, you will not be disappointed by any photo you have of your special day at the resort. We cannot thank the Lake Morey team enough for helping us to have our dream day!
The perfect day
Choosing LMR for our wedding was a no brainer, my husband and I grew up in the area and the backdrop is perfect for a New England wedding. Our wedding coordinator, Bonnie was top notch! She has an eye for detail and gave us recommendations when needed. Rain was expected the day of the wedding, Bonnie showed us multiple indoor location options for the ceremony the day before if the rain did not clear in time for the ceremony… On the wedding day, 15 minutes before the ceremony, it was sprinkling but lightening up. Bonnie came to us and asked again about ceremony location – she wanted us to have everything we wanted and we wanted it outside. She assured us everything would be perfect, and it was! A very light sprinkle and it stopped as soon as we read our vows. The rest of the night was perfect. Only good things about the food from our guests and the line at the bar was steady. Our wedding parties and some family stayed at one of the Denslow Cottages for the long weekend, beautiful place right on the water and a great spot to get ready in and take some pictures while it was raining outside. I am still getting messages from guests saying how perfect the day was. You definitely won’t regret getting married here!
