Boom & Bloom Events is a Woodstock, Vermont-based editorial floral design and fine catering studio dedicated to creating immersive, artful celebrations throughout New England. Rooted in a love for nature, refined beauty, and culinary craftsmanship, our studio exists to transform ordinary spaces into unforgettable environments.
Arturo, brings a remarkable depth of experience shaped by years in the wedding and hospitality industries. Originally from Mexico, he discovered his love for design as a child while helping his grandmother in her flower shop. Surrounded by color, texture, and creativity, he learned early on that flowers could shift a mood, carry emotion, and add meaning in a way few other elements can.
With more than 15 years in hospitality and hands-on, multidisciplinary experience in design, catering, planning, coordination, and décor, Arturo has refined his eye for detail. His work today blends that artistry with his bold personality, love of fashion, and an appreciation for beauty in all its forms, creating floral and culinary designs that feel both elevated and grounded.
Chef Richard is a seasoned culinary artist whose career spans continents, cultures, and over two decades of professional excellence. He began with a strong foundation in hospitality before briefly exploring a successful modeling career. After refining his palate in Europe, he trained under Chef Aver Samuel at The Joint on Turtle Creek in Dallas before heading to Miami, where he continued to grow as a chef through collaborations with several renowned culinary leaders. Since 2000, he has served as the dedicated private chef for the Gallowhur family and Reading Farms Estate.
At Boom & Bloom, we believe that weddings are not just events; they are atmospheres, stories, and visual expressions of love, culture, and individuality. Every design we create is influenced by the surrounding landscape, the season, and our clients’ personal narrative.
Our specialty is creating one-of-a-kind experiences that feel both refined and natural. From wild, romantic floral installations to curated menus inspired by the land, Boom & Bloom Events offers full-service floral design production and catering for couples seeking a high-end, art-forward celebration in Vermont and throughout New England.
Favorite Moment During a Wedding: Our favorite moment is definitely handing over the bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets, seeing the bride with her besties so in love with the beauty of our work is so special! Another one of our favorite moments is cocktail hour, especially when we bring hors d’oeuvres to the couple so they can pause, savor, and enjoy a quiet moment together before continuing the celebration.

The moment we walked into the reception tent, I was absolutely amazed by the floral environment Arturo and his team created. We didn’t even know it was possible! Flowers everywhere… from the colorful centerpieces to stunning, luscious tree installations with beautiful and exotic flowers. And Chef Richard with the food, Oh my gosh! I have never had such delicious cod, it was flaky and perfect. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting everything. Thanks so much for making our wedding day truly special!!
