We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Ben Hudson. His candid, documentary-style approach was exactly what we wanted! He captured every meaningful moment in such a natural, unobtrusive way that we often forgot he was even there. Ben made sure we got all of the posed and formal portraits we requested, moving through them efficiently so we could enjoy the day without feeling like we were stuck in front of a camera.

The photos turned out absolutely stunning! We received a preview within the week and our full gallery on time when Ben estimated we would receive it, all beautifully edited and full of emotion. Ben was open to every idea we had, even our last-minute requests or changes, and helped bring our vision to life better than we imagined. Having authentic photos of the day was incredibly important to us, but we didn’t want to spend hours posing, and Ben struck the perfect balance. We’re so grateful we chose him and will cherish these images forever!

Many things drew us to Ben’s work. We loved his documentary style, his ability to capture emotions and feelings so vividly, and his keen eye for capturing the small non-scripted moments throughout the day. All of these things came true, but we got so much more than that from working with him. Ben Hudson was the best wedding photographer we could have asked for. He’s a great communicator and helped us plan our wedding photo shot list and timeline in advance so when the wedding day arrived there was no stress! Most importantly, Ben has a very calm and reassuring presence which helped to keep us grounded throughout the day. We had rain for a large part of the afternoon and Ben quickly helped us problem solve and then found perfect times in the evening to take outdoor photos when the rain let up. He is a true artist – we initially chose him for his photography style and he exceeded our expectations. When we got our first set of photos from Ben a few days after the wedding they brought us right back into the moments from the wedding day and brought back all of the happiness from the day too. He even made some extra touch ups at our request! We would recommend him to anyone and are so grateful for our experience!

We cannot recommend Ben highly enough. He is very personable and easy to work with, ensuring that our needs were met at every step of the process. Not to mention, his photographs are stunning!

We booked Ben about six months in advance of our wedding date and we met with him over beers for about an hour in order to get a sense of our vision for the wedding and to see how we interacted as a couple. During the planning process, Ben checked in with us every so often and always made himself available to chat via email or phone with any questions we had.

On the day of the wedding, Ben was very respectful of our time. He had a perfect spot picked out for our first look and was able to finish our formal photos well before the ceremony began. Ben took amazing photographs during the ceremony, and took plenty of great candid shots to capture the essence of our wedding.

The turnaround for the finished photos was very quick. In addition to the gallery of photos on his website, we also received digital copies of all the photos he took. We couldn’t be happier with the finished products – they look beautiful! He captured our wedding day perfectly!
