An Affair by the Lake is a one-of-a-kind, romantic, Victorian estate wedding venue on Lake Champlain. With a ceremony gazebo overlooking the lake, a large lawn for a tented reception, and the elegant Inn on site for select guests, the venue is the perfect destination for a weekend-long celebration.

An Affair by the Lake offers you the rare opportunity to experience privacy and a relaxing atmosphere for your special event through the exclusive use of our beautifully-restored 1870s Victorian 3 bedroom home, 500 ft. of lakefront, and spacious grounds. Majestic lake and mountain views will take your – and your guests’ – breath away!
We will personally coordinate with you and attend to all your needs both before and during your event to make certain it is exactly as you envisioned.
We specialize in full-weekend packages for tented weddings up to 200, as well as all-inclusive packages for romantic and intimate elopements and tiny weddings (microweddings).
Favorite Moment During a Wedding: When the processional music starts and the walk down the aisle begins. This never stops being emotional and heart-stopping!
Favorite Vermont Activity: Hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, skiing…anything outdoors!
Investment
On average, couples with a 50 to 150 guest count, spend $7,250 – $7,650 to reserve An Affair By The Lake for their wedding weekend. This includes access to the entire property for the weekend, two nights’ stay for 8, and our extensive planning and day-of coordinating services. Elopement packages start around $1,750, which includes two nights’ stay, extensive help with planning your special celebration, wedding day mini-brunch, and a ceremony cutting cake.
