A Vermont Love Story
When Noelle and Kade began planning their wedding, they knew two things: it had to celebrate their love for Vermont and reflect their shared passions. Having met at Killington, Noelle and Kade share a deep connection to Vermont’s mountains and snowboard culture. It was only fitting that they incorporated these passions into their wedding day. Guests enjoyed a snowy nod to their story with a custom photo booth from Saratoga Photo Booth, featuring a Stowe Mountain backdrop, vintage ski props, and a playful tribute to Noelle’s impressive snowboarding skills.
For their wedding day, the couple chose the charming town of Dorset, Vermont, where the picturesque Barrows House and Old Gray Barn provided idyllic backdrops for their weekend-long celebration!
All The Luxe Details of This Dreamy Vermont Wedding
The couple kicked off the weekend by welcoming guests at the Southern Vermont Arts Center. Colleen Palmer and her team at Church Street Hospitality Group provided Noelle, Kade, and their guests with a stunning view of the surrounding area as they walked through the art galleries with champagne, local IPAs, and delicious bites.
Noelle and Kade’s wedding day began at Barrows House, where the bride, groom, and their bridal party prepared for the celebration ahead. Noelle and her bridesmaids looked stunning, thanks to the artistry of Vermont Bridal Beauty. Kade sported a blue suit, while his groomsmen opted for classic tan attire, both harmonizing beautifully with the day’s color palette of dusty blue, sage green, and pops of lavender and blush.
While the bride and groom readied themselves for the big day, their wedding guests enjoyed the couple’s favorite activities – a full VT country breakfast, biking, golfing, tennis, and visiting Vermont farmer’s markets, as well as relaxing at the beautiful Inns of Dorset (the Dorset Inn and Barrows House), both managed by Colleen.
Before the ceremony, Noelle and Kade shared an emotional first look, a moment filled with love and excitement. The ceremony itself took place in the picturesque meadow of the Old Gray Barn, offering a romantic and intimate backdrop against the lush green mountains of Southern Vermont. Noelle had originally pictured her wedding taking place in the fall, but the deep greens of late summer in Vermont were equally breathtaking. Flowers By Cara, a talented Vermont wedding florist, adorned the ceremony arch with stunning white blooms accented by delicate pops of baby blue and purple, creating an elegant yet whimsical design. Cara went above and beyond with her florals to bring every aspect of the venue to life. (Just wait until you see how her floral creations transformed the Barn!) Officiated by Noelle’s Aunt Yana, the heartfelt exchange of personal vows brought both tears and laughter, creating a truly unforgettable ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests kicked off cocktail hour with “Mount Snow Mules” (a blueberry twist on the classic) and Aperol Spritzes. Guests were greeted with a seating chart where each table was named for mountains close to Noelle and Kade’s hearts. Long farmhouse tables adorned with greenery and delicate blooms set the tone for an elegant celebration. But the star of the space was undoubtedly the lush floral chandelier and wooden beams adorned with greenery and disco balls, installed by Flowers by Cara. Guests dined on beef tenderloin, halibut, and Dorset Inn’s famous parmesan-crusted chicken, all beautifully prepared by the Barrows House team.
During golden hour, Noelle and Kade snuck away in a friend’s vintage red Land Rover (with the top down!) for a quiet, magical drive to soak up that “just married” feeling, just the two of them. When they arrived back at the Old Gray Barn, guests were dancing the night away under twinkling lights thanks to lively music by The Mockingbirds. The Mockingbirds were a couple and guest favorite and kept the party going all night. The couple’s vintage-style cake, maple leaf cookies, and lemon bars, crafted by Blackbird Cake Design, were delicious masterpieces that beautifully reflected their elegant summer theme, providing a perfectly sweet ending to the day.
Noelle and Kade’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration of their love; it was a heartfelt tribute to Vermont and the memories they’ve built there. Congratulations, Noelle and Kade!
