Our wedding venue is designed for couples who want a celebration that feels easy and connected, where guests can stay, gather, and celebrate without ever needing to leave the property. Everything we do is thoughtfully centered around creating a warm, inviting Vermont celebration!

Yes, couples can host both their ceremony and reception on site, along with every other event from welcome dinner to farewell brunch, without anyone needing to get in a car.
The centerpiece at On The River is the six-acre riverside lawn, an open green space with sweeping mountain views and the Ottauquechee River running just beyond the property line. It’s made for tented receptions of up to 250 guests, but it works just as naturally for cocktail hours, lawn games, and late-night fire pit gatherings. A full-property buyout makes it entirely yours for the weekend.
Inside the inn, the Bistro & Terrace is a lively indoor-outdoor space with a full bar and a covered terrace overlooking the river. We love recommending it for welcome dinners, after-parties, and farewell brunches (50 seated, 100 standing). The Library is quieter. Vaulted ceilings, warm lighting, lounge seating, and a pool table make it a natural fit for smaller gatherings or a relaxed welcome night (40 seated, 70 standing).
All 45 guest rooms have private balconies or patios with rocking chairs, and many overlook the Ottauquechee. The Penthouse Suite in the main building works well as a bridal suite, and the Farmhouse Suites offer multi-bedroom arrangements for families who want to stay together.
