A Vibrant Wedding With An Effortlessly Cool Motorcycle Entrance

We’re excited to share with you today the gorgeous wedding of Claire and James! The ceremony, held at the charming Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm in Enosburg, was filled with colorful florals, vintage glassware, and a grand motorcycle entrance – more on that below! The entire day was captured beautifully by Gold Wing Photography, showcasing the true love and vibrant spirit of this Vermont wedding. Get ready to be swept away by this technicolor love story!

A Ride to Remember

Nestled in the heart of Enosburg, the Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm provided an idyllic setting for James and Calire’s extraordinary wedding!  This charming venue, known for its panoramic landscapes and sprawling fields, perfectly encapsulated the spirit of Vermont’s natural beauty. The farm’s rustic elegance and vibrant surroundings created a picturesque canvas for the day’s festivities.

Claire and James kicked off their wedding day by getting ready together and when it came time for the ceremony to start, they arrived in style! The traditional wedding procession was delightfully upended when the couple opted to arrive at their ceremony not in separate cars but together on a motorcycle, with Claire seated elegantly in the sidecar. As Claire and James pulled up, laughter and applause erupted from their family and friends, setting a joyful and expectant tone for the following celebrations.

Down at the altar, a bohemian rug and antique stained glass windows, which hung from an old tree set the stage for the couple’s heartfelt vows. We also love how Claire’s bridesmaids wore a mix of complementary colors that followed the wedding’s vibrant color scheme.

True Love in Technicolor: All The Details Of This Colorful Wedding

Once the couple officially said “I Do”, they moved directly into a champagne toast and their first dance at an adjoining field by the river. Under the open sky, their first dance song filled the air, performed acoustically by their favorite musician, enveloping Claire and James in a deeply personal ambiance!

After cocktail hour, Claire and James entered the venue ready to party! In a true testament to creativity and a personal touch, Claire unveiled a second dress, a beautiful polka-dotted tulle number that she had meticulously sewn herself. (Yes, you read that correctly!)

The attention to detail was evident in every corner of the Vermont Swiss and Bloom Farm’s barn, from the colorful centerpieces by Jaci Scafati to the chic, sheer linens elegantly draped from the ceiling. There was a vast assortment of vintage glassware for guests to choose from when getting their drink for the evening’s festivities. In this space, every hue told a story that was as unique as it was beautiful! Green Meadows Catering served delectable cuisine that ensured wedding guests were well-nourished and prepared to dance the night away.

Claire and James’ wedding was a celebration of color and family, with some guests traveling from as far as Japan to be a part of the joyous occasion! The warmth and love that flowed from each wedding guest was infectious, permeating every aspect of the celebration with an unparalleled sense of joy and unity. Congratulations, Claire and James, on your gorgeous day!

Meet Vermont Wedding Photographer Gold Wing Photography

Are you looking for a photographer who has a gift for capturing real, candid moments? For the past 7 years, Lillian of Gold Wing Photography has been telling love stories with her camera, finding that sweet balance between capturing those unexpected, fleeting moments and delivering beautifully crafted portraits.

Lillian’s love for photography combined with her passion for storytelling make her a highly sought-after Vermont wedding photographer. Our team recently sat down and chatted with Lillian about her work and love for all things art-related. Continue reading to learn all about Lillian!

How did you get into wedding photography?

I have always been drawn to the natural beauty of Vermont, inspired by my imagination, melodies, and fairytales. As a child, I could be found in my dress-up box and dancing with my shadow on long summer evenings. As technology developed, I used any camera or camcorder I could get my hands on to photograph my doll’s weddings, my best friends in my backyard, and the light as it moved through the corners of our old Vermont home. Photography has continued to grow naturally in my life, and so did my first step into photographing weddings. I fell in love with the powerful storytelling tool and have never looked back!

How would you describe your photography style?

I describe my work as natural editorial, meaning that I believe in the documentary approach of letting the flow of the day dictate my direction while still creating timeless art. Candid moments can be editorial. Just because it looks beautiful does not mean it has to feel forced or posed– the opposite, I create an environment for you to feel comfortable and seen, I can offer as your guide and witness. Your love will radiate, that’s where the real beauty lies.

What inspires your work?

I draw equally from my own photo albums and memories as I do from cinema and fantasy. Romanticization is a balancing act that requires equal parts reality and creativity.

Any special tips for couples for choosing/working with a wedding photographer?

It’s important to remember that your wedding photographer will be with you throughout your entire wedding day. Decide what energy you want around you. Often when art resonates with you in your soul, there is a soul behind that art that will resonate with you too. Follow the art and then follow your heart!

What’s your favorite moment during a wedding?

That’s almost an impossible question because I really do believe that no two weddings are the same, but if I had to pick something, I would say cocktail hour. There is something so fun and fresh about watching everyone bask in the glow of your newly spoken vows and the friendships and memories that are forged between your guests. I really enjoy playing witness to those moments, true genuine moments in the afternoon light.

What’s your favorite thing to do in VT?

A favorite pastime for me would have to be swimming in the pond in my parent’s backyard. I love the seclusion and serenity that Vermont has to offer, feeling the cool water, gazing at the clouds, and watching ripples obstruct an upside-down reality that feels void of time and the perfect way to reset. I also love a polar plunge!

If you weren’t a wedding photographer what would you do?

I believe that I always would have been, and always will be, an artist. In addition to photography, I have always had a deep love for writing music and poetry and exploring my world through art. The time that is not spent in photography is spent in recording studios, my diary, daydreaming, and traveling.

What’s a fun fact about yourself?

I am a German speaker and was presented as a debutant at an Opera Ball in Hannover, Germany when I studied aboard for a year at age 15. I will always find a way to be around beautiful dresses and fairytales!

Modern Meets Traditional At This Mad River Valley Wedding

The captivating beauty of a summer wedding in Vermont never gets old. Especially when held at a beautiful private residence, creating a warm and intimate setting that instantly makes guests feel at home! Our team is excited to share with you all Kat and DJ’s beautiful Mad River Valley wedding. This special celebration was filled with timeless accents that blended seamlessly with modern touches, perfectly mirroring the unique style of the happy couple.  Continue reading for all the details and incredibly fun shots from Gold Wing Photography.

Exchanging Vows in the Comfort of Home

The charming setting for Kat and DJ’s special day was the family home of Kat’s parents, nestled in the verdant beauty of Vermont’s Mad River Valley. The couple’s photographer, Lillian of Gold Wing Photography, shared with us that she photographed Kat’s sister’s wedding in the same location just a few years prior. What a beautiful and full circle moment!

During the ceremony, emotions ran high with tears, singing, and laughter. In a moment of lightheartedness, the couple’s rings fell off their four-legged ring bearer, resulting in a comical search through the grass. (Don’t worry, the rings were found!)

The ceremony also included Greek traditions, like symbolic Stefana crowns, connected by a singular ribbon, representing Kat and DJ’s unity as a newly married couple.

Saying ‘I Do’ In Style

From the decor to outfits, the goal of a luxe yet timeless aesthetic was certainly achieved! Kat wore a modern gown by Chosen by Kyha, complete with fingerless gloves and a sleek bun. DJ was dressed to the nines with an ivory suit and black accessories.

After the ceremony, it was time for photos and we absolutely adore the vintage mustang! It adds such a fun detail to an already exciting day and you can tell Kat and DJ had a blast posing in it.

Inside the reception tent, guests were greeted with twinkling lights, luxe florals beautifully crafted by Heavenscent Floral Art and deep green and gold accents. After a quick outfit change, Kat and DJ took the dance floor as newlyweds with an upbeat first dance that got everyone up on their feet.

Amid dinner, friends and family rose one after another to honor the newlyweds with sincere and heartfelt toasts. Each oration was a glimpse into Kat and DJ’s journey, a cherished memory or anecdote, that reiterated the depth of their love for one another. When it came time for desserts, The Goose Chase Cake Design delighted everyone’s tastebuds with a delicious dessert table.

The core of Kat & DJ’s wedding celebration was undeniably the bond of family. The affection that exuded from each relative was contagious, infusing the entire celebration with unparalleled warmth. All generations, from grandparents to siblings and cousins, enthusiastically participated in the joyful occasion. A truly special day filled with love, laughter and lots of happy tears that is sure to be remembered for years to come!
