Natalie and Adam’s beautiful day started with sweet touches. Natalie and her bridesmaids all wore matching pajamas and explored the grounds of the resort, posing by the pool and even riding a luggage cart! Natalie had personal handwritten cards for each bridesmaid, which everyone read before heading back inside to finish getting ready. Over inside the resort, Adam was also getting ready with friends and family. We love his custom suit liner, complete with florals and embroidered wedding date details.  Last but not least, the couple had a heartfelt first look, allowing Natalie and Adam to share an intimate moment before the ceremony.

Natalie and Adam’s ceremony beautifully leaned into Jewish traditions, creating a rich tapestry of meaningful rituals. The couple signed the ketubah, an ancient Jewish marriage contract that symbolizes protection and love, marking a poignant moment in their ceremony. Its details were inspired by a 1740 Venice synagogue Natalie and Adam had visited, which added a historical touch to their modern celebration. The ceremony was then followed by heartfelt prayers and the age-old tradition of smashing the glass, a symbolic act representing the fragility of life and the commitment to stand by each other through all of its brokenness and beauty.  The blending of these traditions highlighted the depth of their heritage and the significance of their union, making their wedding ceremony a deeply personal and memorable experience for all in attendance!

During the cocktail hour, a small champagne toast with Natalie, Adam, and immediate family provided a cherished time to connect and celebrate more privately. Family played a significant role in bringing Natalie and Adam’s wedding vision to life. Adam’s mother displayed her artistic talents by crafting all the signage, adding a personalized touch to the décor. His father, with a keen eye for design, created unique furniture pieces that seamlessly blended with the wedding’s aesthetic. Natalie’s father built a charming ski rack and elegant maple shelves, sourcing wood from trees on their family property, which brought a piece of home to the celebration. Meanwhile, Natalie’s mother and sister contributed by growing additional flowers, enhancing the natural beauty of the venue with blooms that were both meaningful and vibrant. These heartfelt contributions from their families not only enriched the wedding’s ambiance but also highlighted the importance of family in Natalie and Adam’s lives. 

Guests were greeted with a grand escort card display that was paired with maple syrup bottles providing a sweet and thoughtful memento for guests to take home. Both lovers of the outdoors, Natalie and Adam had a pair of skis that doubled as a guest book for guests to sign. Inside the reception space, Burlington’s June Farm provided an array of vibrant, seasonal blooms that perfectly captured the lush beauty of the region. Each table was adorned with bright florals, candles, and vintage plates, meticulously collected from yard sales over the years, which added a charming and unique touch to the overall decor. Even the smallest details, like the dog-themed napkins, reflected the couple’s personality and their love for their furry companions.

The couple decided against the customary parent dances, garter toss, and cake cutting, choosing instead to celebrate with a delightful donut cake that added a fun twist to their reception. Cindy and the team at The Essex Resort ensured that every detail was meticulously managed, allowing the couple and their guests to fully immerse themselves in the experience. Natalie and Adam’s wedding was a genuine and joyful gathering, characterized by meaningful interactions, laughter, and a true sense of togetherness.
