To kick off the day, Jess and Chris got ready with their friends and family at a nearby hotel. Jess looked stunning in her gown from Fiori Bridal, which is located in Essex, Vermont. Jess topped off the look perfectly with a statement cape from The Bridal Collection (based in Colorado). She completed the look with glamorous makeup and a sleek updo styled by Shear Envy Salon. Chris wore a sleek, gray suit from Needleman’s, complete with a pocket boutonniere, which added a beautiful pop of color to his look! The couple shared a private first look at the Burlington Fishing Pier, and although the skies were cloudy, their love truly brightened the moment. From there, they explored Burlington for more photos, stopping at memorable spots like Church Street and the Burlington Boardwalk. Fun fact: the wedding and events team at ECHO affectionately calls the Boardwalk “Lover’s Lane” because so many couples take portraits there on their special day! (While it’s tough to choose a favorite shot, we’re especially loving the image of Jess framed by her bridesmaids’ bouquets!)

The Ceremony and Reception Details You’ll Love

Just in time for the ceremony, the skies cleared, creating the perfect setting. Guests arrived at ECHO and gathered on the museum’s Upper Deck, which offers stunning, uninterrupted views of Lake Champlain. Gorgeous floral arrangements by Pretty Petal VT adorned both sides of the altar, adding an extra touch of beauty to the scene. After Jess and Chris were pronounced husband and wife, guests headed to the Terrace for a lively cocktail hour. They enjoyed tasty bites from Sugar Snap Catering, an open bar, and charming custom napkins featuring the couple’s three fur babies, Bruin, Vila and Twiggy.

Inside, the reception space was transformed into a lush oasis, with eucalyptus taking center stage to create a natural, calming atmosphere. Sage green napkins complemented the theme beautifully and guests were welcomed with local maple candies and custom wooden place cards engraved with their names. When hosting a wedding at the ECHO, Leahy Center for Lake Champlain, couples gain access to three levels of the museum. This setup allows guests to freely explore the exhibits, enjoy the outdoor spaces, or return to the main reception area for dinner, drinks, and dancing.

The heart of the celebration was the dance floor, where an electric atmosphere reigned supreme. Vermont band, The Grift’s,  infectious energy drew guests from their seats, transforming the venue into a lively dance-party scene. The music, an eclectic mix of genres, catered to all ages, ensuring that everyone found a reason to hit the dance floor.  As the night progressed, the dance floor remained the epicenter of activity. 

To end the evening on a high note, guests enjoyed a fun photo booth from Photobooth Planet and indulged in a delicious cake crafted by Jess’s cousin. Congratulations to Jess and Chris on such a beautiful day!
