When Ginny and Bobby envisioned their wedding, they didn’t just dream of a single day; they pictured an entire weekend getaway filled with the joy of being surrounded by their closest friends and family. Their vision came to life at The Wilburton Inn in Manchester, Vermont—a charming venue nestled amidst rolling green hills, offering the perfect blend of elegance and intimacy. With onsite accommodations and close proximity to Manchester’s attractions, it became the ideal backdrop for their modern-day love story. We’re excited to dive into all of the details with you below!
A Modern Day Romance
Ginny and Bobby’s romance began in a thoroughly modern way: via Instagram. Although they both attended the University of Connecticut, their paths never crossed until Bobby, freshly graduated, slid into Ginny’s DMs. Their connection grew through FaceTime calls and sweet, surprise cookie deliveries during Bobby’s baseball season in Kentucky. When they finally had their first official date, the sparks were undeniable. After Ginny’s graduation, the couple moved to New York City, where Bobby proposed on a warm August afternoon in Central Park. (It was an easy “yes” for Ginny!)
When planning their wedding, the couple wanted to draw as much inspiration as they could from the lush beauty of Vermont summers. One way they did this was through their bold color palette of pink, peach, coral, and orange. Working with their wedding florist, Haley Goodrich for Nancy Bishop Floral Design, to execute their vision, this vibrant scheme infused every element of their celebration with joy and energy, perfectly. The couple’s wedding photographer, Ali Kaukas, was there to make sure every moment, big and small, was well documented.
A Day Full of DIY Details and Bright, Bold Colors
The couple exchanged their vows on the grand lawn, surrounded by the breathtaking backdrop of Manchester’s mountain range. After their heartfelt vows Ginny and Bobby were pronounced husband and wife, marking the moment with a festive champagne tower toast shared with their guests—and their adorable dog!
Just a few short steps away was the reception tent.Thoughtful DIY elements, such as hand-crafted table numbers, place cards, and signage, added heartfelt, personal touches to the space. To elevate the table settings, the couple selected vibrant napkins from The Linen Shop, for an additional (and delightful) pop of color. These details harmonized beautifully with wicker accents, taper candles, and vibrant rose arrangements from Vermont wedding florist, Haley Goodrich for Nancy Bishop Floral Design, that appeared to bloom in every corner, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
Beyond the dance floor, Ginny and Bobby created spaces for their guests to enjoy quieter moments. A photo booth by Foley Weddings gave guests the chance to snap fun, candid photos. There was also an audio guest book, allowing guests to “call” Ginny and Bobby to leave heartfelt voicemails. This unique keepsake offers a touching way to relive the wedding day—whether through sentimental messages from loved ones who may no longer be with them or by laughing at the fun and candid moments captured as the evening unfolded. For guests who wanted to take in the beauty of the venue, The Wilburton Inn’s expansive grounds offered plenty of opportunities to explore, relax, and soak in the charm of Vermont. To top off the night, there was no better way to satisfy guests’ sweet cravings than with a beloved Vermont classic: Ben & Jerry’s ice cream.
Congratulations, Ginny and Bobby, on your special day!
