About Vermont Wedding Venue, Lake Morey Resort
Nestled in the hills of eastern Vermont, Lake Morey Resort is a laid-back, scenic spot that feels like a true escape. Sitting right on the shores of Lake Morey, the resort is surrounded by the Fairlee Forest and Morey Mountain Conservation, offering beautiful views in every direction. It’s a place where couples can host a wedding that feels both relaxed and meaningful, whether that’s a lakeside ceremony, a cozy indoor celebration, or something in between!
What makes Lake Morey special is how much there is to enjoy, no matter the season. Guests can hit the golf course, explore hiking trails, go ice skating, or just kick back and take in the views. The resort has plenty of space to celebrate, with a mix of indoor and outdoor venues, and a team that’s ready to help bring each couple’s vision to life. It’s the kind of place where weddings turn into full-on weekends of fun and connection.
A Summer Wedding That Hit Every Detail
Kaitlyn and Daniel began their day separately, getting ready with loved ones in the resort’s convenient lakeside guest cottages. Following the quality time reminiscing with friends and family, the couple shared their first look in the gardens by a beautiful gazebo. Kaitlyn carried stunning florals from Flower Power VT, gracefully tied together with a picture of her younger self with her grandmother.
The couple’s lakeside ceremony was packed to the brim with smiling faces and happy tears as they were officially wed! Filled with Jewish wedding traditions and a gorgeous lakeside view, the celebration felt both deeply personal and beautifully scenic. From the signing of the ketubah to the joyful breaking of the glass, each moment was rich with meaning set against the calm waters and green hills of Lake Morey.
You can’t possibly have a wedding at a golf resort without a couple of references. Guests were kindly asked to “leave their mark” in the guest book sweetly illustrated with a Vermont-shaped graphic. This reception was all about the thoughtful details, from a playful variety of appetizers to a stunning slate blue color scheme and gorgeous bud vases by Flower Power VT. Personalized touches were tucked into every corner, creating a celebration that felt unmistakably “them.”
As the sun began to dip behind the mountains, the couple snuck away for a few golden hour portraits by the lake and the magic of the moment was undeniable! One favorite shot even mirrors a photo from their engagement session with Isora, which they used on their save the dates. (A sweet full-circle moment!) Once photos wrapped, it was back to the reception tent where the energy was truly electric. Think karaoke-style sing-alongs, a packed dance floor, and the kind of party that kept guests celebrating well into the night.
Congratulations, Kaitlyn and Daniel, on your beautiful day!
