In honor of Valentine’s Day this week, we’re throwing it back to a beautiful proposal from last year, when Cam surprised Madeline with the sweetest proposal during a snowy getaway in the mountains. It may be cold in Vermont, but there’s something undeniably romantic (and seriously warm and fuzzy!) about saying “yes” surrounded by fresh powder, crisp air, and endless Green Mountain views. This Valentine’s Day engagement is proof that winter proposals just hit different.
Powder & a Perfect Proposal
When Cam reached out to Vermont wedding photographer, Melissa Lynn Images, to plan a Valentine’s Day proposal during a Vermont getaway, everything quickly fell into place. Together, a thoughtful plan was created to make the moment feel both intimate and unforgettable. While Madeline enjoyed time inside Killington Resort’s Peak Lodge, Cam led her out to the scenic overlook, where he dropped to one knee in the snow and asked the most important question. Completely caught off guard, Madeline’s reaction was pure joy: equal parts shock, laughter, and happy tears!
Melissa shared with us that Madeline was “one of the most surprised and happiest people I have ever photographed,” and the photos below say it all. From joyful tears to glowing smiles, every frame captures the pure excitement of saying “yes” on Valentine’s Day. It was the kind of proposal that reminds us why Vermont is such a special place to fall in love…again and again.
