Adventure & Celebration at Killington Resort
Aundrea and Alexander’s love story has held a special connection with the state of Vermont since the beginning. Alexander’s family had been visiting Stowe since the ‘80s, and while the two did meet in Utah, Vermont soon became a special place for Aundrea as well. After living in Vermont for a summer and exploring the vast mountains, charming towns, and ski slopes the state has to offer, the couple felt especially drawn to both Stowe and Killington. The two got engaged while on a winter hike in Stowe, but were especially drawn to Killington for their wedding.
With the help of Vermont wedding planner Assorted Artistries, this couple’s romantic mountaintop vision was brought to life. The mountains had always been central to Aundrea and Alexander’s lives, whether it be skiing, hiking, or camping, and this day was no exception. The couple intentionally created a day that felt truly authentic to them and their experiences. For this happy couple, the Peak Lodge at Killington Resort was the obvious choice. This lodge was only accessible by the K-1 Gondola, serving as a great personal touch for these two skiers. A majority of guests had never ridden a gondola in their lives, so excitement was certainly growing on the way up to the wedding!
First Look in the Forest
Before the festivities began, Aundrea and Alexander chose to spend their morning hiking by the venue. A private and special first look was important, and the couples’ photographer, Sean Hood truly understood the assignment! He scoped out a beautiful woodland spot on the mountain, making sure to include a hike for the couple to get there. Hiking in her stunning floral dress and chacos, Aundrea met her groom at the end of the path for a peaceful and calming moment. Aundrea’s bouquet from Heavenscent Floral Art stood out so beautifully and effortlessly against the mountaintop background.
Following the couple’s peaceful moment in the woods, guests gathered on the peaks for the ceremony. Vibrant florals surrounded Aundrea and Alexander contrasting beautifully against mountains.
Disco at the Lodge: A Stunning Reception
Inside the lodge, the real celebration started with a dreamy cocktail hour featuring live music from The Vermont Bluegrass Session Band as guests arrived! Postcards from Utah Ski resorts and National Parks served as the sweetest table numbers tying this deeply Vermont wedding back to the couple’s home state. Color, joy, and excitement filled the venue as the party started. What truly stole the show was a gorgeously creative cake crafted by Blue House Bakeshop. While a delicious dessert bar was open for guests, Aundrea and Alexander had their special cake showcasing the green mountains and lined with pressed flowers! (And don’t forget to take a look at the sweet polaroids Aundrea and Alexander took earlier in the day, serving as the cake topper!) After dancing with friends and family the night away, the happy couple shared a slice of their wedding cake on the gondola ride back down from the lodge.
Congrats Aundrea and Alexander!
