Written In The Stars: All the Details of The Beautiful Wedding Day
Before getting ready, Irene and Krystian took an intimate moment in the forest that surrounds Reading Farms Estate to share their vows. We love this idea for a couple that may not want to do a traditional first look but still wants to take a quiet moment to themselves before their ceremony. Afterward, the couple got ready separately in historic rooms in the estate, surrounded by their friends and family. Irene had her makeup and hair done by Elizabeth England and Jessica Murphy respectively. Once she was ready, she opted for a private first look with her father before heading to the outdoor ceremony.
Krystian and Irene’s wedding ceremony was hosted underneath Reading Farms’ iconic 300-year-old maple alley. Amidst the trees in the alley, the couple said they felt like they were the only ones there, even though they were surrounded by eighty of their closest friends and family. The bride didn’t see anything except for Krystian’s face as she walked down the aisle. Both of Irene’s parents walked her down the aisle, which was nontraditional and touching. Their ceremony took place under a golden arch mostly adorned with white orchids designed by Blue Door Flower Company.
We love how Krystian incorporated their dog into the ceremony by walking him down the aisle with the officiant before the wedding. The bridesmaids’ dusty blue dresses coordinated perfectly with Krystian and the groomsmens’ ties as well as with the blue flowers in Irene’s bouquet. Irene looked stunning in her Greek goddess style wedding dress Rue De Seine Bridal and her gold headband added an extra ethereal touch.
Celebrating Polish Traditions
Throughout the day, the couple made it a priority to weave in Polish traditions to honor their heritage. Guests experienced traditional Polish music and dances while family members shared stories that have been passed down through generations. During the reception inside the Pavilion Barn, the parents performed a Polish bread and salt blessing. Irene and Krystian were presented with a loaf of bread sprinkled with salt and two small shot glasses of vodka. The bread symbolized the parents’ wish that their children never go hungry, the salt reminded the couple that life may not always be easy, and the vodka symbolized the parents’ wish that the couple will never thirst or be without good friends and good cheer. The parents then kissed the couple to show their unity and love.
An Unforgettable Star Filled Reception
After the wedding ceremony, the couple proceeded to the Pavilion at Reading Farms for their lively, celestial reception. Through their exclusive partnership with Reading Farms, On Thyme Events offered a comprehensive planning service that included: tents and rentals, catering, lighting, restrooms, and a content creator. This made for seamless wedding planning that allowed Irene and Krystian to relax and enjoy their special day!
Hanging from the outdoor awning, there was a plethora of golden and white star lanterns, which added a unique flair to the beautiful natural setting. When the newlyweds entered, they were showered with bubbles adding another whimsical touch to the reception. Craft House Bartending ensured that the drinks flowed all night, much to the delight of the guests who savored the couple’s signature cocktails: a whiskey smash and a gin & tonic. As the sun set, the couple took a moment to themselves for a photoshoot commemorating their love against the backdrop of Vermont’s natural beauty. Reading Farm Estate’s timeless elegance allowed the couple to steal away some quiet moments before returning to the excitement of the reception. Later in the evening, the star pendant lights added an unforgettable warmth as everyone danced the night away under the clear night sky.
Reading Farms Estate was the perfect place for Krystian and Irene to craft their day filled with celestial motifs, Polish traditions, and striking orchids. Its historic architecture combined with its fields and forests that seemingly go on forever make it one of the most unique venues in our state. Congratulations Irene and Krystian!
